U.S. Army Information Technology Agency; Information Management Support Center (IMCEN)- CDS2 led a limited pilot and follow on production enterprise wide software deployment of the "Resolution Manager", production installation involved deployment and 14,000 desktops/laptops, servers, distributed across 88 agencies and tenants organization located in the Pentagon complex. The "Resolution Manager Enterprise Tool" automatically diagnoses and resolves both familiar and previously unidentified enterprise problems - such as unauthorized configuration changes, zero day attacks and policy noncompliance - before they turn into problems, service desk calls or business disruptions.
Other Government Agency Command & Control- CDS2 provided acquisition planning; software development; test and evaluation planning; performed prototype development design; component and systems integration; and test supporting a Command and Control (C2) like system development program. CDS2 provided software and applications development, and original programming for the web portion of this system. CDS2 analyzed legacy, client specified, and application-derived requirements to design the system software to meet sometimes-conflicting requirements. Engineering staff developed full technical documentation including system specifications, logistic support plans, test requirements and plans, and performed component subsystem and system level tests. CDS2 successfully completed performance following Contractor Integration and Test (CITs).
Air Force Material Command, Scientific and Technical Information (STINFO) - CDS2 served as the Program Management Organization Role on this multi-year, multi-spiral development project for the Scientific and Technical Information (STINFO) Enterprise System (STES) application to reduce the time to accomplish the STINFO requirements, and support additional related STINFO services to reduce costs, standardize, and improve the Air Force STINFO Program. STES clarifies, improves and streamlines STINFO processes resulting in the reduction of the time it takes to meet and complete STINFO requirements and return resources to benefit mission command. STES also supports individuals responsible for AFMC STINFO in avoiding duplication of research efforts and reducing the overall costs in conducting research. Finally, STES helps the AFMC disseminate sensitive technical information to the appropriate audience and control the release of information that might jeopardize US technical or operational military interests. STINFO represents a multi-step process that supports every aspect of USAF scientific and technical research - from the identification of research topics through the final development and dissemination of final research results. The STES application complies with approved DoD architectures, guidelines, and standards, including DII COE and GCSS models.
Army Reserves National Guard (ARNG) - The Army's transformation to a Single Army Logistics Enterprise environment uses commercial off the shelf software - SAPTM. CDS2 served as the Program Management Organization providing training using GIS software and the Plant Maintenance (PM) portion of SAP to provide awareness training for installation personnel. Specifically, the contractor team established a functioning Installation Management solution that utilizes the appropriate ESRI GIS and SAP functionality; created an awareness training program that was customized to ARNG processes and data; provided delivery of a customized Installation Management Awareness class to ARNG installation personnel; and created a working system that includes the existing SAP PM application integrated with the ESRI GIS application.
U.S. Department of Education, Migrant Education Even Start (MEES) Content Management System (CMS) Web Application- CDS2 provided a web application development project to support- the MEES Grant Award decision objectives to provide an interactive web-based collaboration and coordination of MEES grant competitions and award decision processes. This web-based application had to be scalable and modular in order to handle all web-based interactions among the Department, the grantees and the constituency that it serves. The web applications are based upon the CMS model that allows MEES program planners and participants to collaborate online in the development of their policies, procedures and process transactions. The web applications provide the functionality for asynchronous document collaboration, as well as on-line meeting capabilities with such features as desktop sharing and interactive question and answer functionality. CDS² was responsible for designing and developing a baseline prototype system with a standard security log-in construct. Additional value added features of the design included adding the capability for users to register for National MEES-related conferences and events such as the Evaluator’s Meeting in Washington, DC, and integrated discussion forums for grantees. CDS² also provided a customized interface for the conduct of on-line meetings where participants can share and interact in real-time their desktops with the other meeting attendees, and ask questions or present topics as needed.
Department of Education (ED), International Education Programs Service (IEPS) Database and Website Support - CDS2 provides database and web site maintenance and enhancement support for IEPS within the Office of Postsecondary Education (OPE), ED. This web-based database system, International Resource Information System (IRIS), contains publicly accessible records of current and past IEPS grantees, IRIS serves as a dissemination mechanism for information about all IEPS grant programs for the international education community and to the public. Support includes migration and hosting of the IRIS database; providing an IRIS help desk system; designing and delivering necessary training to IEPS staff and grantees; upgrading database functions; editing, presenting, and disseminating project information; updating and developing technical and user documentation and; data and software maintenance and enhancements.
U.S. Census Bureau American Community Survey - Each month, CDS2 using Census Bureau-provided rules, match approximately 240,000 sample addresses (Census Bureau provided) against infoUSA's address database to obtain current published telephone numbers. CDS2 provides the Census Bureau with a file in ASCII format of addresses (including ZIP+4) with matches for current telephone numbers. All data handled and is delivered to the Census Bureau and is subject to Title 13 of the United States Code to protect the confidentiality of personal address information.
